Instructor training
We will provide:
- One to one training with a fully qualified driving instructor
- All study material needed to pass the three parts of the ADI test
Part 1: this consists of 2 parts; the first is a computerised multiple choice test of 100 questions covering all aspects of driving and the law; the second is a computer based hazard perception test.
Part 2: this is a test of your driving skills which are expected to be more advanced and business like, using all types of road and traffic conditions.
Part 3: this tests your ability to instruct and comprises of two 30 minute sections: Phase one- you will be expected to instruct a new learner driver on a subject that they haven't previously covered. You will need to teach them the subject, give them an opportunity to practise, recognise their faults, tell them why they have made the mistakes and how to correct them, then give them time to practise again. Phase two- you will be expected to coach an experienced learner who is nearing test standard, correcting any mistakes that are made.
There is the option at Time2pass to 'learn while you earn': We can get you on the road instructing with a DSA approved trainee licence. For more details please contact us on 0800 389 3546.
However, at Time2pass we believe that there is more to becoming a good driving instructor than just passing the test: For example, we will go through what is expected of you as an instructor at the test centre when you bring your pupils for test; areas to use for new drivers, intermediate drivers and then the more experienced driver; the different places to practise manoeuvres. "This was some of the most valuable information I was given throughout the whole course", is a comment from one of our instructors.
